Select “System Setup” → “Admin Setup” → “Other” → “Gateway Communication Setting”
→ “Network Setup” and set as follows:
1. Select network card type to be viewed through viewing other.
2. If there are multiple IP addresses in the “IP Address” area on the right side, select one of
them based on your networking requirement.
3. Click the “OK” button.
13.4.3 Authorization
Select “System Setup” → “Admin Setup” → “Other” → “Gateway Communication Setting”
→ “Authorization Setup”. The menu lists the units and bed Nos. of all bedside monitors
within the CMS. If the check boxes in front of the unit and bed No. is in selected status, other
CMSs networked with this CMS is entitled to view the bedside monitor. If the check boxes in
front of the unit and bed No. are in unselected status, other CMSs networked with this CMS
are not entitled to view the bedside monitor.
NOTE
z Other CMSs can view the information of authorized bedside monitors within the
CMS through the “Remote CMS” window only when “Network Setup” and
“Authorization Setup” are correct.
13.5 Viewing Remote CMSs through VPN
The CMS supports being viewed by other CMSs or CMS viewers through VPN. The VPN
network is shown as below: the VPN server requires a fixed IP address through a private line
to connect to Internet, while the connection of other VPN clients is as follows:
If a CMS is viewed by other CMSs, the VPN clients of all the CMSs shall connect to
Internet through private lines;
If a CMS is viewed by a CMS viewer, the VPN client of the CMS shall connect to
Internet through a private line, while the VPN client of the CMS Viewer can connect to
Internet through either a private line or a ADSL.
