8.4.2 Alarm Setup Tab Sheet
Clicking the button in the “ViewBed” screen will enter the “Alarm Setup” tab sheet, in
which you can set parameter alarms, arrhythmia alarms, arrhythmia alarm threshold and other
aspect of alarms.
8.4.2.1 Setting Parameter Alarm
In the “Parameter Alarm Settings” tab sheet, you can set the alarm properties of ECG, HR,
SpO
2
and other parameters. Take the HR as an example; you can use the keyboard to modify
its alarm high/low limits by clicking “HIGH LIMIT” or “LOW LIMIT”, as well as use the
mouse to make a selection by clicking “Alarm Priority”, “Activation State”, “Record On
Alarm” or “Print On Alarm”.
8.4.2.2 Setting Arrhythmia Alarms
In the “Arrhythmia Alarms” tab sheet, the alarm for asystole, tachy and other kinds of
arrhythmia can be set here.
Alarm priority: The alarm level can be set to “High”, “Med”, “Low” or “Message”.
Specifically, the “Message” level only has text, without the indication by audio,
background color and ‘*’.
Activation state: The activation state of each arrhythmia can be set individually. In
addition, the activation state of some arrhythmias can be set as a whole with the buttons
of “All Alarm On”, “All Alarm Off” and “Lethals Only”. If click “Lethals Only” button,
only the lethal arrhythmia alarms are set to “ON” and other alarms are set to “OFF”; if
click “All Alarm On”, all arrhythmia alarms are set to “ON”; if click “All Alarm Off”,
all arrhythmia alarms are set to “OFF”.
Record, Print On Alarm: Set the switch of record in real-time and print in real-time
when arrhythmia alarms occur..
NOTE
z If a bedside monitor is connected and the “Lethal Arr. Off” item in its “Admin
Setup” menu is set to “Disable”, the “All Alarm Off” button in the arrhythmia
alarm settings of the CMS is inactive.
z If a telemetry monitoring system is connected and the “Lethal Arr. Off” item in
“Telemetry” sheet under “Admin Setup” menu is set to “Disable”, the “All
Alarm Off” button in the “Arrhythmia Alarm” of the CMS is inactive.
